“When you create a meaningful relationship with your dog then training them is the easy part.”

Hi, I’m Sharonika Williamson – Founder and Head Trainer of Clear Canine, a successful IGP trainer and competitor, and canine obedience & behaviour coach/instructor for competition sport dog handlers and pet dog owners.

I conduct workshops around Australia with a targeted focus on building strong personal and working relationships between dogs and their handlers.

What got me here?

From a very young age I dreamed of becoming a vet so I could work with dogs all day, everyday. But life had other plans. After pursuing and completing a Bachelor in Applied Science (Major in Biotechnology and Co-major in Forensic Science) I landed myself a job in the crazy yet extremely fascinating world of Forensics where I worked for 17 years.

With my love for dogs still strong I decided to give dog training a crack. In 2010 I successfully completed a pet dog training course through the NDTF. Not long after I got my first dog, Jetta – a working line German Shepherd. I mean, how hard could training this dog be? Right? HA! Well, it was a steep learning curve but a curve that shaped my dog training career in ways that I could never have imagined. Not only did I get to meet and be coached by some of the best trainers in the world but I was also introduced to the highly competitive world of IGP dog sports (formerly Schutzhund). The rest is history.

Now I get to share everything that I have learned, and continue to learn, with other people and their dogs to help them live better, fulfilled lives together. I couldn’t ask for anything more.
